What a wonderful couple of days it has been! You are an amazing little soul. You seem to already know how to smile, you can be very serious, and you are incredibly attentive. You can move your head around like a pro! The docs and nurses have all cooed over you and your Mom. Well, you get to come home tomorrow, and Grandma Mary Kate will be here on Friday to help get you settled in. It will be very nice to have you home – can’t wait! Thanks to everyone for all the notes, flowers, and well wishes!

You are positively beautiful! Today has been a dream… I have cried many times today. You are a precious gift, and I will cherish the wisdom of life that comes from watching you grow. May your heartsong be clear and strong – for I have already heard you humming the first melody…

Where to begin… The last few weeks have been exiting! Michelle and I have had your room ready for a couple of weeks. We have been working on building your little furniture set, and getting all your clothes unpacked from your Texas cousins, Hanna, Emma, and Mia. You have lots to wear! The Docs at Boulder Women’s Care say that you are going to be quite large, and we have scheduled a C-Section for Monday morning, January 14th. You will probably be born at about 8am. It has been a well informed, yet difficult decision – we wanted to experience a natural birth, but trust that our care-givers have the best in mind for you and Michelle. It is so odd scheduling a baby… We have been focusing for so long on getting through labor, and now have the opportunity to bring you into this world with no fuss or stress – pampered – just like we thought you might be!

Happy New Year! It’s baby month! Michelle is getting rather large, you must be growing fast! You are just all over the place, rolling and kicking… Incredible! A few touches to your room and we are ready! Michelle is healthy and happy – what a woman! I love her. She is going to be a wonderful Mommy.

Thought a lot about you today. Felt you kicking and moving this morning and evening. Michelle and I took Mercy for a walk over in the open space, and you got “sunned” while walking back. Michelle has a little belly-burn tonight! Watched an animated movie tonight, and we laughed that we would be watching a lot more…
